The Company

Bennett Environmental Inc. has delivered solutions to satisfied customers in the environmental industry for over 30 years.

What we do

Bennett provides an effective and economical remediation solution for soils contaminated with chlorinated and non-chlorinated hydrocarbons such as PCP, dioxin, furan and pesticides.

We offer a cost competitive and permanent solution to the issue of owner liability associated with contaminated sites.

Why?

With the worldwide growth of environmental awareness, the clean-up of contaminated sites has become a major priority. Public perception, new laws and regulations, ongoing monitoring costs, health and safety risks, depressed land values and potential groundwater contamination are all causing owners of contaminated sites to seek a permanent solution.

For sites impacted with PCBs, and other chlorinated organics, these concerns are especially acute. With laws increasingly excluding the landfill option, as well as the potential future liability associated with landfills, permanent treatment has become the preferred option for impacted sites.

How we do it

Bennett Environmental Inc. has developed a state-of-art thermal treatment system complete with a sophisticated emission control system. The fully automated, high-capacity plant has the ability to treat up to 100,000 tonnes of contaminated soils per year.

Independent testing has proven the facility performs better than the most stringent emission requirements in North America. The testing achieved a Destruction Removal Efficiency greater than 99.9999%, bettering the most stringent DRE regulations.

The process effectively separates, and eliminates contaminants from the soil.

The Benefits

Upon completion of treatment, Bennett provides the client with a Certificate of Destruction confirming that the contaminants have been effectively eliminated. Our thermal treatment process is the Best Demonstrated Available Technology and a very cost-effective option for the remediation of contaminated sites.

Bennett is a publicly traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol BEV and The American Stock Exchange under the symbol BEL.
