Human Health Risk Assessment

In accordance with the EIA Certificate of Determination for the proposed High Temperature Thermal Treatment facility, dated January 17, 2003, Condition #9 states the following:

The proponent shall conduct a Human Health Risk Assessment (HHRA), including air deposition modeling to determine scope, nature and impacts of all deposition, including incremental impacts, from the operation of the facility. The terms of reference for the HHRA shall be submitted to the District Medical Health Officer for the Health Region, Department of the Health and Wellness for review and approval prior to commencement of the HHRA study. The HHRA shall be completed and approved by the District Medical Health Officer prior to the issuance of an Approval to Construct and an Approval to Operate.
